With the New Becca Automatic Eye Pencils, the Extras Make the World Goa Round - Makeup and Beauty Blog

Not gonna lie, after feasting my optics on the delicious smash polishes and blushes from the Becca Halcyon Days collection, I didn't have much of an appetite left for the Automatic Eye Pencils in Goa and Majorca ($23 each). The two twist-up makeup tools were way down at the bottom of my "I'thousand and so excited, and I only can't hide it!" listing.

Merely so I noticed the value-added extras Becca idea to include, similar the sponge-tip applicator, hidden pencil sharpener (sweet!), and effortless texture — and so smooth that it would requite any silk worm a complex. In this case, it was the extras that fabricated me stop and take find, and I figured, heck, with summer right around the corner, I tin can ever use a couple of new long-wearing, waterproof eyeliner staples.

Becca kept both of these colors conservative, opting for basics to complement the coral, peach and pinkish shades from Halcyon Days. Goa, a shimmery golden brownish, reminds me of a mellower MAC Teddy, and it sits in stark contrast to starless Majorca, a pitch black devoid of green or blueish undertones.

I wore both of them a few times last calendar week, and while I like them well enough, I'm not convinced they should be chosen long-wearing or waterproof.

Majorca

Of the two, Majorca'due south my fave. It kicks it all day long on lash and water lines, but unlike Urban Decay'south long-wearing 24/7s, information technology never fully sets after it dries, so it stays creamy and, I estimate you could say, a lilliputian too light on its feet (it tends to motility around). The consistency makes it fabulous for soft and smudgy eyeliner looks, but I think it also holds it back from being completely waterproof. I suspect it wouldn't handle 30 minutes on the treadmill or a day at the pool, but it's a brilliantly black liner for running errands, fifty-fifty because that information technology costs some coin. Goa, the second of the 2, is like the girlfriend who ditches you lot at the lodge when she meets a beautiful guy. She'southward there at the outset of the dark, watching your back while you both have fun, just iii beers later on she's nowhere to be institute. I wish it lasted longer on my lash and water lines, merely the color (shimmery aureate brown) makes me desire to go along it effectually. Although I think you can detect something similar for less ($), it's great for when y'all want a little flava without going total-on dark. MAKEUP AND Beauty Web log RATING: B

Game of Thrones!

OOH! Did you lot scout last night's episode still?

(STOP Here IF You lot Haven'T. SPOILERS Ahead!)

Measuring how much I liked the episode by the number of times I yelled "HOLY CRAP!" I thought information technology was mostly okay. I was glad to see Ned Stark still live and boot, even if it is with 1 good leg, but that scene with the Khaleesi eating the raw equus caballus center almost made me barf!

Oh, and what'southward up with Ned'southward daughter, Sansa? Hello, irritate much? The whole matter with evil Prince Joffrey kinda gets on my fretfulness.

I haven't read the books notwithstanding (I plan to), so I don't know what happens adjacent, but I have a feeling that one time the kids get older, Arya Stark is going to kick arse.

Gotta love a plucky gal who'south not afraid to speak her mind…and also wields a sword. 🙂
